Terms of Trade

These Terms of Trade apply to all work carried out by Lucid Electrical.

By accepting a quotation, booking work, or allowing work to commence, the client agrees to these terms.

1. Quotations

Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.

Quotes are based on visible and accessible conditions at the time of inspection. Additional work required due to hidden conditions may result in a variation.

Variations will always be discussed and approved before proceeding.

2. Fixed Upfront Pricing

Lucid Electrical provides clear upfront pricing before work begins.

No work will proceed without client approval.

If additional faults or safety issues are discovered during the job, the client will be informed and given options before continuing.

3. Access and Site Conditions

The client must provide safe and clear access to the work area.

Lucid Electrical is not responsible for delays caused by restricted access, pets, furniture, stored goods, or unsafe conditions.

Furniture and belongings should be moved prior to arrival where possible.

4. Electrical Safety

Lucid Electrical will not carry out unsafe, non compliant, or illegal work.

If the existing installation presents a safety risk, power may need to remain isolated until made safe.

All work is performed in accordance with Australian Standards and South Australian regulations.

5. Asbestos

Some older switchboards and electrical equipment may be mounted on asbestos backing.

Lucid Electrical is licensed to remove and dispose of up to 10 square metres of non friable asbestos where required as part of electrical work.

If friable asbestos or quantities exceeding legal limits are identified, a licensed asbestos removal contractor will be required at the client’s expense.

6. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Accepted payment methods will be listed on the invoice.

Ownership of supplied materials remains with Lucid Electrical until payment is received in full.

7. Late Payment

Overdue invoices may incur administration and recovery costs.

Lucid Electrical reserves the right to suspend future work until outstanding balances are paid.

8. Certificates of Compliance

Where required, a Certificate of Compliance will be issued after payment has been received.

9. Warranty

All workmanship is covered by a 5 year workmanship warranty from the date of completion.

This warranty covers faults directly caused by installation performed by Lucid Electrical.

Manufacturer warranties apply to all supplied materials and equipment and are passed on to the client.

This warranty does not cover

Pre existing faults within the electrical installation
Normal wear and tear
Storm damage, water damage, vermin damage, or supply authority issues
Work altered or repaired by others after completion

If a fault occurs due to the installation, it will be repaired at no cost.

10. Existing Installations

Electrical work may expose faults in pre-existing wiring.

Lucid Electrical is not responsible for unrelated faults that appear after work is completed.

Recommendations will be provided where safety issues are identified.

11. Liability

Lucid Electrical is not liable for

Failure of client supplied equipment
Loss caused by third parties or supply authority outages
